Add-on Wheellifts
WL-1151 is the most effective and economical Mechanical Wheellift made. The Main Boom mounts to the truck frame (not the tailboard) exactly the same as the Electric/Hydraulic Models. The Ram (stinger) extends and locks into place with a Cam Lock, just like a Heavy Duty Tow Bar Arm (only bigger & with Multiple Towing Positions). Your existing Winch and Cable are used to raise and lower the wheellift. It is specifically designed to be upgraded to fully Electric/Hydraulic operation if your needs change. The Pivot, Fork Arms, Boom Support Rod and the Towing and Lifting Capacities are exactly the same as an Electric/Hydraulic model. If you want complete Wheellift capability without spending a fortune, this is the best model for you.
Installation and Maintenance is very easy on the WL-1151. Assemble the unit underneath the truck and use it as a template to mark your hole locations. Drill the appropriate frame mounting hole locations and bolt the unit to the frame. Drill holes on the tailboard for the Boom Support Nest and the Frame Brace Mounting Brackets. Bolt them in place. Assemble the Pivot and Fork Arms. Grease the Hinge Pin and the Pivot King Pin regularly and you're ready to start towing in just 3 or 4 hours.
The WL-1000L is our most popular Electric/Hydraulic model. It’s economical and easy to install, maintain and operate while giving the operator all the control neccessary to load the Wheellift quickly and effectively. The specially designed integrated Power Pack has Lever Operated Control Valves (Up/Down & In/Out) mounted directly onto the Pump/Valve assembly. In addition to mounting the wheellift as described above, install the lift cylinders, mount the Power Pack on the wrecker in a location where it can easily be operated, hook up the preassembled hydraulic lines and fill the system with Dextron II fluid. The power cable and ground cable are the only electrical wiring required. Add-on Wheellifts
The WL-1000 features a Weather Resistant Pendant Remote Control with 4 function (IN/OUT/UP/DOWN) Electric/Hydraulic Operation. Combined with the specially designed integrated Power Pack, it allows the operator to position himself as needed to best operate the Wheellift. In addition to mounting the wheellift as described above, install the lift cylinders, mount the Power Pack on the wrecker in a convenient location, hook up the preassembled hydraulic lines and fill the system with Dextron II fluid. Wiring the power cable, ground cable and the remote control socket is easy. Just plug in the remote control and you're ready to go.
